2 Peter 3:6
Arabic Bible ERV 2009
What Does This Mean?
This verse tells us that the world once was destroyed by a flood of water. Peter is speaking here, reminding his readers about the great flood of Noah's time and how it wiped out the entire world except for those on the ark.
Explained for Children
Imagine if all your toys were in a big bathtub, and then you turned on the faucet so much that all the toys got washed away. That's kind of like what happened to the whole world once with Noah’s flood!
Historical Background
2 Peter was written by the Apostle Peter around 64-68 AD. The letter is addressed to Christians who were facing persecution, and he wrote this as a reminder that God has acted in history and will do so again.
Living It Out Today
In modern times, when we face destructive forces like natural disasters or overwhelming problems at work, this verse reminds us of God's power over nature. It can encourage us to trust in His control and provision through hard times.
