وَصَلَّى داوُدُ إلى اللهِ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى، فَقالَ لَهُ اللهُ: «لا تَهجُمْ عَلَيهِمْ مُواجَهَةً، بَلْ دُرْ حَولَهُمْ وَاهجُمْ عَلَيهِمْ مِنْ ناحِيَةِ أشْجارِ البَلَسانِ.
