Arabic Bible AVDDV 1999 (الكتاب المقدس (تخفيف تشكيل))
What Does This Mean?
This verse from 2 Chronicles tells us that when Amaziah, the king of Judah, died, the people of Judah chose his son Uzziah to be the new king. Uzziah was only 16 years old when he became king.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're playing a game where you choose the next team captain. In this case, the people of Judah chose Uzziah to be their new leader, kind of like a team captain, when he was just a teenager!
Historical Background
The Book of 2 Chronicles was written by the Chronicler, likely during or after the Babylonian exile, around the 5th century BCE. It was intended for the post-exilic community to remind them of their history and God's promises.
Living It Out Today
Just like Uzziah, who was chosen as king at a young age, we too can step into leadership roles even when we feel young or inexperienced. Like Uzziah, we can rely on God's guidance and support to lead effectively.
