Matthew 7:1
Arabic Bible AVD 1999 (الكتاب المقدس)
What Does This Mean?
This verse from Matthew says not to judge others so that you won't be judged yourself. Jesus is speaking, and he's teaching us about the importance of being non-judgmental towards others.
Explained for Children
Imagine if everyone in your class gave each other gold stars for every little thing they did. Wouldn’t it make everyone feel great? This verse tells us to do that with our thoughts too – give people a chance and don't judge them, just like you wouldn't want anyone judging you.
Historical Background
Matthew wrote this part of his Gospel around A.D. 80-90 for Jewish Christians in the Diaspora. Jesus is teaching the crowd about living a life that reflects God's character, which includes being kind and not quick to judge others.
Living It Out Today
In today’s world, you might see someone eating alone or looking upset at school. Instead of jumping to conclusions about why they look sad, think about how you can be there for them or even just smile and say hi.
