Isaiah 43:1
Arabic Bible AVD 1999 (الكتاب المقدس)
What Does This Mean?
This verse is God speaking to the people of Israel. He reminds them that He created them and formed them, and tells them not to fear because He has redeemed them and called them by name. God affirms that they belong to Him.
Explained for Children
Imagine God as a loving parent who created you. He wants you to know that you're special and not to be scared. He has a plan for you and calls you by name because you're His child. That's what God is saying to Israel here.
Historical Background
The book of Isaiah was written by the prophet Isaiah around 700 BCE. This verse is addressed to the Israelites, the people God had chosen to be His special group. At the time, they were facing many threats and needed reassurance of God's love and protection.
Living It Out Today
In a modern context, imagine someone who has lost their job and is scared about the future. This verse can remind them that God has a plan and that they are not alone. Just as God reassured Israel, He can reassure us in our fears.
