وَبَاقِي ٱلْيَهُودِ ٱلَّذِينَ فِي بُلْدَانِ ٱلْمَلِكِ ٱجْتَمَعُوا وَوَقَفُوا لِأَجْلِ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَٱسْتَرَاحُوا مِنْ أَعْدَائِهِمْ، وَقَتَلُوا مِنْ مُبْغِضِيهِمْ خَمْسَةً وَسَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا، وَلَكِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَمُدُّوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ إِلَى ٱلنَّهْبِ.
