Deuteronomy 8:7
Arabic Bible AVD 1999 (الكتاب المقدس)
What Does This Mean?
This verse describes the land that God is bringing the Israelites to, which is full of water from brooks, fountains, and depths. Moses is speaking to the Israelites, promising them a land that is rich and fertile. The key message is that God will provide for them in abundance.
Explained for Children
Imagine if you were on a long trip and God was leading you to a new home. This new home would be like a big, beautiful garden with lots of water everywhere, like a water park with fountains and streams. God wants to give you a place that's perfect for growing and living.
Historical Background
Moses wrote this in the book of Deuteronomy around 1400-1200 BC. He is addressing the Israelites who are about to enter the Promised Land. At this time, they had been wandering in the desert for 40 years and were about to settle in a new land.
Living It Out Today
Think of a time when you were starting a new job or moving to a new city. You might feel unsure about the resources available to you. This verse reminds us that just as God provided abundantly for the Israelites, He will also provide for our needs in new and challenging situations.
