وَأَمَّا يُونَاثَانُ بْنُ شَاوُلَ فَسُرَّ بِدَاوُدَ جِدًّا. فَأَخْبَرَ يُونَاثَانُ دَاوُدَ قَائِلًا: «شَاوُلُ أَبِي مُلْتَمِسٌ قَتْلَكَ، وَٱلْآنَ فَٱحْتَفِظْ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ إِلَى ٱلصَّبَاحِ، وَأَقِمْ فِي خُفْيَةٍ وَٱخْتَبِئْ.
