حِينَئِذٍ قَالَ دَاوُدُ: «لَيْسَ لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَحْمِلَ تَابُوتَ ٱللهِ إِلَّا لِلَّاوِيِّينَ، لِأَنَّ ٱلرَّبَّ إِنَّمَا ٱخْتَارَهُمْ لِحَمْلِ تَابُوتِ ٱللهِ وَلِخِدْمَتِهِ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ».
