وَتَقَوَّى الْمَلِكُ رَحْبَعَامُ فِي الْقُدْسِ، وَاسْتَمَرَّ يَمْلِكُ. كَانَ ابْنَ 41 سَنَةً لَمَّا مَلَكَ، وَدَامَ مُلْكُهُ 17 سَنَةً فِي الْقُدْسِ، الْمَدِينَةِ الَّتِي اخْتَارَهَا اللهُ مِنْ بَيْنِ كُلِّ قَبَائِلِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، لِيَعْبُدَهُ النَّاسُ فِيهَا. وَاسْمُ أُمِّهِ نِعْمَةُ الْعَمُّونِيَّةُ.
