«هٰكذا قالَ الرَّبّ: إِنَّ الَّذي يَبْقى في هٰذه المَدينَةِ يَموتُ بِالسَّيفِ والجوعِ والطَّاعون، والَّذي يَخرُجُ إِلى الكَلْدانِيِّينَ يَحْيا وتَكونُ لَه نَفْسُه غَنيمةً فيَحْيا.
