وكانَ مَفيبَعْلُ بنُ شاوُلَ قد نَزَلَ لِلِقاءِ المَلِك، وكانَ لَم يَعتَنِ بِرِجلَيه ولَم يَقُصَّ شارِبَيه ولم يَغسِلْ ثِيابَه، مُذ يَومَ خَرَجَ المَلِكُ إِلى اليَومِ الَّذي رَجَعَ فيه سالِمًا إِلى أُورَشَليم.
