وفي السَّنَةِ الثَّامِنَةِ مِن سِني مُلكِه، وهو لا يَزالُ فَتًى، أَخَذَ يَلتَمِسُ إِلٰهَ داوُدَ أَبيه. وفي السَّنَةِ الثَّانِيَةَ عَشرَةَ ٱبتَدَأَ يُطَهِّرُ يَهوذا وأُورَشَليمَ مِنَ المَشارِفِ والأَوتادِ المُقَدَّسَةِ والمَنْحوتاتِ والمَسْبوكات.
