فكَلَّمَ صَموئيلُ بَيتَ إِسْرائيلَ كُلَّه وقالَ لَهم: «إِن كُنتُم راجِعينَ إِلى الرَّبِّ مِن كُلِّ قُلوبِكم، فأَبعِدوا الآلِهَةَ الغَريبَةَ والعَشْتاروتَ مِن بَينِكم، وثَبِّتوا قُلوبَكم في الرَّبّ، وٱعبُدوه وَحدَه فيُنقِذَكم مِن يَدِ الفَلِسطينِيِّين».
