وَذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ذَهَبْتُ إلَى بَيْتِ شَمْعِيَا بْنِ دَلَايَا بْنِ مَهِيطَبْئِيلَ، وَكَانَ قَلِقًا فَقَالَ لِي: «لِنَجتَمِعْ فِي بَيْتِ اللهِ، دَاخِلَ الهَيْكَلِ، وَنُغلِقْ أبْوَابَ الهَيْكَلِ، لِأنَّ الأعْدَاءَ قَادِمُونَ لِقَتلِكَ.»
