Jeremiah 51:2
Arabic 2016 (الكِتاب المُقَدَّس: التَّرْجَمَةُ العَرَبِيَّةُ المُبَسَّطَةُ)
What Does This Mean?
This verse says that God will send people to thoroughly clean Babylon, like fanning away chaff from wheat. These people will clear out Babylon's land. God is speaking and the message is that Babylon will face trouble from all sides.
Explained for Children
Imagine a big playground with lots of trash. God is saying He will send people to clean up this playground by sweeping away all the trash. Just like how you clean up your room, God will clean up Babylon by making it empty and clean.
Historical Background
Jeremiah, a prophet, wrote this around 600 BCE. He was speaking to the people of Judah, warning them about the coming judgment on Babylon. Babylon was a powerful empire that had defeated Judah and taken many people captive.
Living It Out Today
In a modern context, imagine a company that has become corrupt and needs to be cleaned out. Just as Babylon faced judgment, a company might face an overhaul where the corrupt elements are removed. This can apply to any situation where a group or organization needs to be cleansed of its bad elements.
