وَعِنْدَمَا اقْتَرَبَ مَوعِدُ أسْتِيرَ لِلدُّخُولِ إلَى المَلِكِ – وَهِيَ بِنْتُ أبِيَحَايِلَ عَمِّ مُرْدَخَايَ الَّذِي تَبَنَّى أسْتِيرَ كَابنَةٍ لَهُ – لَمْ تَطْلُبْ أيَّ شَئٍ إلَا مَا أخْبَرَهَا بِهِ خَادِمُ المَلِكِ وَحَارِسُ النِّسَاءِ هَيجَايُ. فَنَالَتْ أسْتِيرُ استِحْسَانَ كُلَّ مَنْ رَآهَا.
