فَاسْتَبْسَلَ الفِلِسْطِيُّونَ فِي القِتَالِ وَهَزَمُوا بَنِي إسْرَائِيلَ. فَهَرَبَ جُنُودُ بَنِي إسْرَائِيلَ وَعَادُوا إلَى بُيُوتِهِمْ. فَكَانَتْ هَزِيمَةً شَدِيدَةً لِبَنِي إسْرَائِيلَ. وَقُتِلَ ثَلَاثُونَ ألْفَ جُندِيٍّ مِنْهُمْ.
