1 Corinthians 13:12
Arabic 2016 (الكِتاب المُقَدَّس: التَّرْجَمَةُ العَرَبِيَّةُ المُبَسَّطَةُ)
What Does This Mean?
This verse from the Apostle Paul says that now we only see things unclearly, like in a mirror, but later we will see clearly and understand fully as we do now when someone knows us well. The key message is about the difference between our current limited understanding of God's love and grace and the perfect understanding we will have in heaven.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're looking at your favorite cartoon through a foggy window; everything looks blurry and hard to see. That's how we see things now with our eyes and minds. But when we get to heaven, it’s like suddenly the window is clear, and you can see all the details of the cartoon just like if you were watching it on a big TV screen!
Historical Background
This verse was written by Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians around AD 53-54. He wrote this to encourage the Corinthian church, which had many issues and misunderstandings about love and spiritual gifts.
Living It Out Today
In today’s world, we can apply this verse when dealing with complicated problems at work or school. We may not fully understand why certain situations happen now, but trusting in God's ultimate plan can help us navigate through confusion and uncertainty.
