Daniel 11:11
Afrikaans Bible (ABA) 2007 (Bybel vir almal)
What Does This Mean?
This verse talks about two kings fighting each other - the king of the south and the king of the north. The king of the south gets very angry and brings a big army to fight, but he loses despite having many soldiers.
Explained for Children
Imagine you're playing a game where two friends are on opposite sides. One friend from the south side gets really mad and brings all his toys to play against the other friend from the north. Even though he has lots of toys, he still doesn't win the game.
Historical Background
Daniel wrote this prophecy around 530 BCE while living in Babylon. The book is a collection of visions predicting future political conflicts between various empires that would impact God's people.
Living It Out Today
This can remind us that having more resources or power doesn't guarantee success if we don’t have the right strategy or guidance. For example, a business with many employees might still fail if it lacks good leadership and clear direction.
